Sat 2026-06-15: deck rebuild build day, Bed-Stuy
All-day rebuild of a sagging back deck for an elderly tenant. 6 hands needed. Materials covered; lunch provided. Beginners welcome — there's work at every level.
The back deck on a 4-unit Bed-Stuy walk-up has been sagging for over a year, and the elderly tenant who uses it most can no longer go outside safely. We're rebuilding it on Saturday June 15.
Need: 6 hands, 9am to 6pm.
Skill mix wanted: at least one experienced carpenter who can run a small crew; the rest of the hands can be at any level — there's measuring, sanding, painting, runner work, lunch-making.
Materials are covered. Tools — bring what you have; we'll have a backup kit. Lunch + dinner provided.
